Six Guys and Twelve Months

What can six guys achieve in twelve months? Quite a bit is the short answer!

We formed Noveum in June of 2017 with the idea of ‘Could we….?’ With our extensive experience built on the UK nuclear market, this was an obvious place for us to start and, though a logical choice, it didn’t come without challenges.

We knew that the market is highly regulated so to gain momentum and win orders we first had to attain certain accreditations.

During the first five months we were busy setting up the infrastructure, policies and procedures which subsequently resulted in us being awarded ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and OHASA 18001:2007 certification through BSI.

As you can imagine we were delighted but it wasn’t easy by any means. The key in achieving this at such an early stage in Noveum’s formation was simply down to the six of us working together with a clear vision to be the best at what we do. We all learnt new skills along the journey. Our mindset is that of working together and learning together which we think us helped us succeed.

With these accreditations confirmed, our next challenge was to achieve approved supplier status. With is in place before the end of 2017, we won our first order in December 2017. 2018 has seen this success continue, with a steady flow of orders from end clients in the UK nuclear industry.

Having gained some inertia in the market place we decided to develop our brand and to launch the Noveum website. Our new website made us feel real and ready for business!

We have a great team, the accreditations and experience to be a viable and credible option for automation solutions in the UK nuclear industry and so on we go….

“It has been fantastic fun and I have made sure we celebrate every key milestone one way or another! The Noveum days that we have introduced to help build the team and take time out during our busy schedule, have been tremendous – watch this space for future adventures!”

Rockingham Motor Speedway Track Day

At Noveum, we’re really big believers that a good work/life balance brings out the best in people. To support our belief, we’ve introduced ‘Noveum Days’ to all our staff. These are days designed to be fun! They allow our team to experience new things whilst getting to know each other better, which we believe strengthens our ever growing team.

All staff new or old are welcomed to suggest a Noveum Day, it could be a hobby they enjoy or something they’ve always wanted to try but never had time or opportunity to do so.

Our first Noveum day took place in July at the Rockingham Motor Speedway for a track day. Roger Turner, Noveum’s Managing Director has always been a bit of a petrol head and about twenty years ago Roger built a Westfield and has raced this car at several track days.

Wanting to share his passion for racing, Roger suggested we take the team together with their partners to Rockingham to experience the joys of racing for themselves!
